Built in 1992, TL Hanna is one of Anderson County's newer high schools. It is located 7 miles NE of downtown Anderson on a 62+ acre parcel; a AAAA school. TL Hanna HS offers a broad range of educational curriculum, arts, athletic, and band development activities and is one of the 50 nationwide schools to receive 2006-2007 Siemens Award for Advance Placement. The 2003 movie "Radio" was based upon James Kennedy's experiences at TL Hanna's in the 1960's
TL Hanna initiated an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in 2010-11.
Strong academic programs contributed to a high acceptance rate in advanced education with over $13 million in scholarships awarded to the Class of 2011.
