Beck Academy moved into its new school facility in 2005-2006; located on a 38 acre parcel the school features a new building, track and soccer fields, outside tennis/basketball courts, and baseball/softball fields. Beck roots dates back to the 1960's; transition to Beck Middle School (6-8) took place in 1973. In 1995 the school became Beck Academy of Languages. In 2000, Beck became the first SC public school to be named as an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program school
